How Kangaroo got her pouch

http://learningtogive.org/materials/folktales/HowTheKangaroo.asp

Did your mom always find you? Always asking where are you? What time are you going home? I think it is simply because she loves you and care about you. I know a story of Mother Love to her son. This story is entitled how Kangaroo got its pouch. This story reminds me of how deep is the love of a mother to her child that she will go even in the darkest place search in the deepest sea just to find her son and that kind love will conquer all if she knew that her child is missing and that is how wonderful our mother is and this coming mother’s day do not miss the once and a life time chance to greet your mother and show your gratitude and tell how grateful you are to have her as your mother.

Rumplestiltskin

http://www.eastoftheweb.com/short-stories/UBooks/Rum.shtml

What will you do if you are caught in a situation that someone is forcing you to do something that you did not know how to do? And if cannot fulfill such task you might got killed. Pressured? Desperately you need someone’s help and in that case you are willing to give everything just to save your life. Rumplestiltskin is a fairytale which have such kind of story. Each character had unique lesson, like the poor miller we do not have to be boastful because especially when somebody will get into trouble because of you. The Cruel King teaches us a lesson that we should not be greedy because there are more things in this world that is much important like our family. The miller’s daughter teaches us that we should think fist before we act such thing. This story made me realize that a mother will do everything for their child.

The parable of the Lost son

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+15%3A11-32&version=NIV

This is one of my favorite parables, a story that really touches my heart. I learned a lot to this story, that we as children should respect our parents because they always think the best for us so we should think about what would they feel too before we do such action. We should not imitate what the youngest son do because such action will really hurt our parents we should also remember that even though we hurt our parents they will still forgive us, just ask for forgiveness and you will be surely foriven because our parents love us that much And should not also imitate what the older brother do, That he questioned the love that his father is giving to him as if that his father never give importance to him. No one should question the love and care that a parent is doing to their children because no one will ever love you as your parents will do.

The old woman in the wood

http://www.familymanagement.com/literacy/grimms/grimms93.html

This is a story about a servant girl and a dove who met in the forest one day when the girl and her family get attacked by the robbers and she was the only one who survived. She was lost in the forest for a long time with no food and shelter until the dove came and gave everything the girl needed such as food, shelter and clothing but the dove asked a favor to her to do something for the dove. Because the dove gave everything to the girl, she cannot refuse and even she is scared she makes sure that she will fulfill the favor of the dove. As she fulfill her duty and defeated the old woman in the wood she knew that the dove is a prince and they got married and live happily ever after.
I learned from this story that if someone do good things to you or help you during those times that you need them, do good things to them too in return for their goodness.

The burnt biscuits

http://www.funnyfunnyjokes.org/2012/03/17/the-burnt-biscuits-great-story-with-a-moral/

Nobody is perfect a famous saying that we often heard to someone who mistakenly committed mistake and that’s true because we are only humans susceptible in making mistakes indeed life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people. This story made me realize that such lesson.
The lesson that we should learn to accept each other’s faults – and choose to celebrate each other’s differences – one of the most important keys in creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

old fisherman

http://www.tasgreetings.com/fisherman.htm

Have you ever been judge by the people around you just because of your physical appearance? If you experience such situation, don’t get mad or don’t be upset because there are some who felt the same as you are.
I know a short story of an old fisherman who is suffering from a skin cancer and had a regular check-up at the John Hopkins Hospital. His height is just for an eight year old child he had an awful looking face that’s why when the time comes that he badly needed some room to be rented no one tends to lend him a room because of his awful look, some border might got scared at him and turn those costumers away. Until such time that a lady accepts her and entertains the old fisherman in their house knowing that the old man is supporting his daughter and her husband who is suffering from a back injury and his grandchildren. The Lady got touched by the story of the old man and despite of fact that he had a horrible life she does not hear any complain to the old man but instead the old man keep on saying that he is blessed because the lord had given him enough strength to face his problems and he is very thankful that there are no pain involve in his disease. The Lady was very inspired on how the old man deals with his problems.
The lesson that I got from the story is do not judge a person by just merely looking at physical appearance try to look in their positive side, always look in someone heart. Another thing is that we should always think that problems are blessings in disguise, always be thankful of what you have and be open to share other people who needed it despite of who they are.

Daddy's Poem

http://mykentuckyhome.net/Daddy's%20Poem/Daddy's%20Poem.pdf

Father seems to be the foundation of the Home, but what will you do if that foundation was all gone most especially during the time you needed the most?
This is a poem that really caught my attention. The very first time I read it tears in my eyes kept on falling. Maybe because I relate much in this poem. This poem is about a Girl who had a Father who died a couple of years ago. When the Daddy's day came she does not hesitate to come to school knowing that she does not have Father to be introduced to the whole class. As the teacher call her name she proudly stood at the front and say something about her father even though her classmates keep on teasing her that she does not have a father. She still ignore everything and always believe that her Father was always there at her side and in her heart.
This poem leaves us a Lesson that we should cherish the presence of our parents. We should feel lucky enough because we can feel, see and hear our parents, because there are some that even how much they wanted they could not do that to their parents. Another thing is that we should always remember and appreciate even the smallest things that your parents are giving or doing for you.

The Magic Swan

http://www.kidsgen.com/fables_and_fairytales/the_magic_swan.htm

This is a story entitled the magic swan, one of my favorite fairytale. This is a story of a boy name Peter who lives with his two brothers namely Frederick and Jacob. Because Peter is the youngest among the three his siblings always make fun of him and because he is weak he cannot defend himself to his elder stronger brothers. One day an old woman appeared to him when he was in the woods. The old woman tell peter a secret about a magic swan that will surely give him a good fortune but in return to that the boy should promise that he will not forget about the old woman. As he got the magic swan and speak the magic word anybody who held unto the swan will keep their hands holding to the swan and will laugh. Everybody in town cannot take away their hands as they try to help peter take away the swan in his hands. As time passes by the number of people was added to them until such time that the princess who does not laugh for a very long time try to hold to the swan and got stuck too as what others do and laugh. As the king saw the princess is laughing he rewarded peter to be the princess husband and he does not forget the old woman as what he had promised.
The moral of this story is simply be good and later on you will be rewarded by your good deeds and do not broke your promises.

When Children Pray

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/when-children-pray

Jesus loves the little children, a famous bible passage. Yes it’s true because there are many characteristics of a child that Jesus want us to imitate. Their incredible faith, their sincere heart and their innocence. This poem is written by Victoria Martinez. These poems tell us about how the little children pray. That even in small or Big problem they always consult it to GOD as if that they entrust everything to GOD and always admit that cannot do anything and needed GOD’s help.
The Lesson of this poem is we should have faith like a child because sometimes we depend on our own abilities and strength because we are old enough to do things on our own, but it is actually the opposite of what GOD’s wants us to do HE wanted that all man would trust a HIM like a child do as he pray.

Give Love To The Children

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/give-love-to-the-children/http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/give-love-to-the-children/

Life is like a chain, it is a continuous process. What we know today will be passed from generation to generation. As what a famous quote says, Children is our future they are the next generation.
This is a poem entitle Give love to  children by Elizabeth Quinn. A poem which tell us  that children needs love, protection, care and affection. Lead them, teach them and let them decide on their own. Show respect to the little ones so  that, they will respect you in return and most especially, Love the little children so a they grow old what they also do is to love others too because they experience that to you.
The moral that I got from this poem is spread LOVE to the world so that the world will be full of LOVE not hatred, crime and so many Negative thoughts.
